Weapons of Mass DistractionBottled Water

Bottled water used to be seen a something snobby that only sissies would drink.  Personally I've preferred water from a bottle over that of most taps since bottled water came into popularity.  Acutally my 2 favorite brands are Arrowhead water and Evian.  Some of the others taste funny to me.  It used to be that only businesses got water bottles delivered to them, but it seems that home delivery is now a huge business.  People pay big advertising dollars to attract the attention of potential water buyers.  Last time I heard there were no regulations on the bottled water industry, and much of it was actually far more contaminated than plain tap water.  You may notice that the majority of the bottles don't actually say where the water comes from.  Supposedly that is because much of it is from municipal sources (aka the faucet), rather than the nice mountain spring pictured on the label.  People also pay a huge premium for something that is the most common substance on earth.  I'm not really ashamed to be part of that group.  Water is good for you.  You're much better off drinking water than a big gulp of Mountain Dew. :)
