• IE Plugins - Microsoft added a feature similar to this in XP Service Pack 2, but basically this allows you to see what Internet Explorer plugins exist on your machine (spyware is quite often installed as browser plugins). • IE Trace / History Cleaner - This allows you to delete stored information from Internet Explorer. Things you can clean/remove include cookies, cached files (temporary internet files), visited sites history, downloaded files, and more. I have run into the situation more than once where IE "leaks" or orphans files and doesn't delete them even when you use the delete temporary files feature built into the browser. I discovered over 500 megabytes of space being wasted in this way on my machine at one time. The only solution then was to delete the files manually... but since this application uses the actual files rather than IE's database, it can remove all the files and reclaim some disk space for you.

I am very glad I found this registry cleaner.. Before I ran it I didn't even realize my system had any registry problems. When I looked through the list of items it found I recognized a bunch of programs that are no longer on my machine and I haven't used for years.
