Do you have an old car that you don't know what to do with? You can save some money on your taxes by donating it to charity. Charity donations of vehicles is big business for many charities. People will come out to your house and tow it away within a few days, and you can take a tax write-off.

You used to be able to write off the fair market value of the vehicle but too many people took advantage of that and the IRS changed the laws. Now the amount of money you can deduct depends on how much the charity gets for the car.

I have an extra car right now but unfortunately it is worth too much money to make donating it a good idea.

I looked at some car donation sites and was not very impressed with many of them. A lot of them are geared toward a particular charity or have a terrible site design. Because of this I decided to make my own site with information and car charity listings.. check out Donate Your Car To Charity .org

It is still very under construction but you can get a pretty good idea of what I plan to do with the site.  I think it has lots of potential to be very useful for a lot of people.
