If you look at some charts of the highest paying keywords out there is is always right up toward the top.  The fact that webmasters can be making dozens of dollars PER CLICK on these types of ads gives you just a glimpse at the absurd amounts of money Lawyers are spending on these ads.  If they can afford to pay $50 every time someone clicks their ad, and they only get a very small conversion rate, and only some of those result in a settlement...  They're making way too much damn money!  Personally I think is is criminal the huge cuts out of people's money the lawyers take when they win a case.  If I was dying from "asbestos cancer" I'd be pissed off when my lawyer wanted 35% of the money.  Greedy bastards.  On the other hand I'd be happy to take the lawyers ad click money.
